Cultivating Everyday Individuals into Extraordinary Leaders

Brockton Interfaith Community, established in 1990 by local clergy and lay leaders, is a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering Brockton, Massachusetts, by addressing the city's most pressing challenges.

Changing your community is possible. Let us show you the way.

Since 1990, BIC has grown into a regional force for change with institutional members representing over 4,000 families.  BIC has won a seat at the table of power and achieved important victories across a spectrum of issues ranging from home ownership and foreclosure prevention to public safety and diversity in public schools.

Who do we serve?

BIC works to improve the lives of everyone in the City of Brockton, but specifically the underserved and overlooked. We launch campaigns to address the most pressing needs of our community. Recently, those campaigns have included education, social justice, immigration and more…

~ Andrea, Immigration Team

  • “I am so grateful I had the opportunity to volunteer with BIC this semester. I cannot think of a better way to get to know people in the Brockton community and learn about the importance of Mutual Aid.” ~ Shannon, MAB
